Joining Kidder Mathews

Today, I am excited to announce that I am joining Kidder Mathews in their Seattle office. This has been in the works for a few months and today is my first day.

For the past year and a half I have run my own one-man commercial real estate brokerage. This gave me the flexibility to try new business ideas, but limited my exposure. I was initially approached by another firm, which got the ball rolling for me and I decided to meet with a few of the top firms in the area and see what each had to offer. As soon as I met with Kidder Mathews, the decision was easy.

Here are a few of the reasons that sold me on Kidder Mathews:

• They are the largest commercial real estate firm in Seattle for 11 years running according to the Puget Sound Journal of Business. I could quickly tell that they are constantly pushing for more and are open to ideas. I wanted to find a firm where I could make a difference and Kidder Mathews fit the bill.
• They have an entrepreneurial platform. Most of the national firms have processes and systems that are not easily changed. I have enjoyed working on my own and wanted to make sure that I would still have the flexibility to try new approaches in an industry hurting for innovation.
• They are known for having veteran brokers at the top of their game. Kidder Mathews has more brokers with SIOR and CCIM designations than any other firm in the Northwest.

I will continue to specialize in investment real estate with a focus on net lease retail properties. I have updated my contact information on this site and hope to hear from many of you soon.
